Project information
Urbiágua developed and took part in the construction of the new Cóia Volcano, on Avenida de Castelao, in Vigo. The project involved the requalification of this space, with modernisation, equipment installation and the creation of a more attractive and interactive public space.
The fountain consists of a volcano surrounded by 10 programmable water jets and a misting system, installed in a dry fountain, together with a reflecting pool with 20 programmable jets and a cascade. The whole fountain is lit by more than 100 RGB LED projectors.
In addition to the various water displays, the programming also allows the fountain to run to music at certain times of day.
